The Glacier Symphony’s popular Symphony Night at Rebecca Farm happens Friday and Saturday, July 8 and 9. This long standing collaboration with Rebecca Farm has become a Flathead Valley summertime tradition and a yearly highlight for citizens and summer visitors alike.
This year the theme is “Film Music Magic” and the program contains tunes everyone will acknowledge from their preferred films, including “Lord of the Rings,” “Superman,” “West Side Story” and the James Bond 007 franchise. There will likewise be a special “surprise” set from one of America’s most popular movie composers.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for guests to take pleasure in a picnic, their preferred beverages. Bring a blanket or stadium chairs, or reserve a picnic table. There are always plenty of food trucks.
The performances start at 7:30 p.m. Performing under the signature saddle tent, the Glacier Symphony under the instructions of Master John Zoltek will provide a program of classic orchestra pops and light symphonic music. Last summertime the performances drew in more than 2,500 people each evening.
Tickets are either unreserved by the carload, or a restricted variety of picnic tables that seat eight individuals can be scheduled– either open-air or under a tented location. There are also tickets readily available in an al fresco household area booked at the back of the field. If you choose to bike in, tickets are $5.
