In the Thor films along with The Avengers, Chris Hemsworth has had dozens of high-profile co-stars. The Australian star has actually shared the screen with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, and even one of his siblings. Tessa Thompson is a regular Hemsworth co-star, including Thor: Love and Thunder, and they’ve developed chemistry and friendship while interacting.

Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson have a strong relationship and chemistry thanks to their working relationship
We understand who Hemsworth’s preferred female star is, and it’s not Thompson or his wife, Elsa Pataky. While neither of them stands on top of that pedestal, he’s shared the set with both of them several times.
Hemsworth and Thompson don’t simply play close allies on the screen; they are good friends in reality, too. Their relationship didn’t establish simply by briefly crossing courses the exact same films. The 2 stars have worked side-by-side in all their collaborations. So, their chemistry is natural, and Thompson understands features of Hemsworth many people do not.
The only stars Hemsworth has dealt with more than Thompson are his fellow Avengers. So the number of films have Hemsworth and Thompson made together?
Hemsworth and Thompson have actually starred in 3 motion pictures together Hemsworth
and Thompson have collaborated on 3 motion pictures: Thor: Ragnarok, Men In Black: International, and Thor: Love and Thunder, per IMDb.
The duo’s chemistry appeared immediately in 2017’s Ragnarok. Their characters– Thor and Valkyrie– mean a romantic attraction, but the motion picture doesn’t explore those sensations. Hemsworth and Thompson’s on-screen chemistry put the Thor franchise back on the map after the mixed reaction to the doomed Thor: The Dark World in 2013.
Hemsworth and Thompson collaborated again for 2019’s MIB: International. It made 9 figures at the around the world box office, but it didn’t rather compare to the other motion pictures. Still, Hemsworth as Agent H and Thompson as Representative M made the movie watchable in spite of some stunning moments during production.
The pair teamed up a 3rd time in Thor: Love and Thunder. They came close to working on the very same project in between Thor motion pictures. Both Hemsworth and Thompson joined Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi’s James and the Giant Peach with Taika and Buddies TV series, but they appeared on different episodes.
Thompson and Luke Hemsworth both starred in HBO’s Westworld together, suggesting Thompson is just a Liam Hemsworth short of a Hemsworth bro trifecta on her resume.
Whatever we understand about ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’: Run time, score, post-credit scene reports
With Waititi, Hemsworth, and Thompson teaming up again, Thor: Love and Thunder has the potential to be the best (or the very first?) space superhero rom-com ever. However it won’t be Thompson and Hemsworth in the rom-com part of the film. Natalie Portman returns as Jane Foster/Mighty Thor while Hemsworth’s Thor ends retirement to face Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher, per the film’s summary:
“The film discovers Thor on a journey, unlike anything he’s ever faced– a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer called Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the termination of the gods. To combat the danger, Thor employs the help of King Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who– to Thor’s surprise– inexplicably wields his wonderful hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they launch a traumatic cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him prior to it’s far too late.”
It’s up to Thor to conserve himself and deep space from Christian Bale’s villainous Gorr, but the trailers show a romance woven into the cosmic action.
Thor: Love and Thunder got a PG-13 ranking and runs 2 hours, 5 minutes, per IMDb. It’s reported to follow in the Marvel custom with post-credits scenes (numerous), as Range’s Clayton Davis tweeted. As MovieWeb reports, report has it that Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein appears as Zeus in one of the post-credit scenes.
Thor: Love and Thunder strikes theaters on July 8, 2022.
