Legends of the Fall(1994)Trailer # 1
| Movieclips Classic Trailers Every when in a while, the world needs a good, sweeping Western, and that’s precisely what the world got in 1994 with this big, emotional, lusciously shot production. Director Edward Zwick secured a first-class cast for Legends Of The Fall that consists of Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Julia Ormond, Aidan Quinn, Henry Thomas, Karina Lombard, and Gordon Tootoosis. Pitt is the de facto star, playing Tristan Ludlow, the boy of household patriarch Col. William Ludlow (Hopkins) and brother to Alfred (Quinn) and Samuel (Thomas). The Ludlows’ saga incorporates the scaries of World War I, the mistreatment of Native Americans in Montana, the complicated affections of different women, and a number of unforgettable encounters with bears.
Here, simply a couple of years after his breakout in A River Goes through It, Pitt is in complete movie-star mode. The cam likes him– Zwick misses out on no opportunity to capture Pitt at his sweatiest, long-haired, sun-kissed finest. However what makes this a significant entry for our list is that Zwick elicits a powerful, genuine performance to match. Tristan experiences love and loss and resignation, and Pitt makes you feel every happiness and heartbreak even as you enjoy and can’t decide what’s prettier, Pitt or the Montana landscape (actually Canada, however, hey, it’s the films!).
