The Town of Chapel Hill will kick off its annual “Movies Under The Stars” series this Thursday. The series offers outside showings of family-friendly films throughout the summer, and will be held at the Forest Theatre on the UNC school.
The very first proving will be on Thursday, July 21, starting at sundown (usually in between 8 and 8:30 p.m.). The chosen film is Pixar’s recent release “Soul,” which follows the adventures of a middle-school band instructor through The Terrific Before– a location where new souls get their personalities.
According to the town, the closest parking lot offered for the event are the Cobb Parking Deck on Paul Green Drive and the Park Location lot at South Limit Street. Street parking is readily available, consisting of totally free parking on the west end of Franklin Street beginning at 6 p.m. The town likewise recommends bringing a cushion or blanket, water and a flashlight. No outdoors food or drinks other than water are enabled.
Movies Under Destiny runs through August 18, and will include hit movies such as Encanto, Inside Out and High School Musical.
