Recently we looked at our preferred movie quotes. Motion picture maven Sheldon Davidson proposed we should now look at the Top 10 last lines in movies. The parting
words in a film are often a “stinging, darkly funny punchline.”
Sheldon used 2 examples: “Huh?” or “What’s incorrect with you?” Answer: “Absolutely nothing you can’t repair.”
His “Huh?” is a technique concern, Ward Bond’s action to Bogart’s “The things that dreams are made of” comment in the “Maltese Falcon.”
And “Absolutely nothing you can’t fix” is the timeless reaction by Lauren Bacall to Humphrey Bogart at the end of “The Huge Sleep”– a pronouncement that apparently rollovered into genuine life.So as a starting point for the Leading 10 Last Lines, we talked to ScreenRant. As expected, that home entertainment blog had a list:10. “Alright, Mr. DeMille, I’m all set for my close-up.”– Gloria Swanson in “Sunset Boulevard” (1950 ).
