Dec. 3: The Warner Theatre invites Summertime Orlando and Barbra (Babs) Joan Streetsand for a joyful Vacation drag show at 8 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. Summer Season Orlando and Barbra Joan Streetsand are called New England’s primary live singing Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand impersonators, according to a statement. Tickets are now offered.

Her primary repertoire includes live vocals with covers of Barbra Streisand songs and initial live parodies to hand chose Streisand songs from the 1960’s through today. Dec. 17: The Torrington Symphony Orchestra provides “A Vacation Concert”, at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 17 in the Warner’s Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. Under the direction of conductor Maurice Steinberg, the concert will include seasonal holiday favorites accompanied by a vocal ensemble.
The Torrington Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1961 and has been an active part of the musical community ever since. The 45-plus Torrington Symphony amateur and expert musicians are drawn from 25 towns in Northwest Connecticut, Eastern New York, and Southern Massachusetts. The symphony pays for artists the opportunity to reveal their creative needs, while encouraging young entertainers to continue through the playing of orchestral music, according to members. Children 12 and under are complimentary, however a ticket is needed.
Dec. 30: North by Northwest Express, presented by Motion pictures @ the Warner and the Naugatuck Railway. The event will start with a Naugatuck Railroad train flight from Thomaston to downtown Torrington. Original passenger cars New York Central Hickory Creek and Tavern Lounge 43 from the popular 20th Century Limited Passenger train included in the movie will be in tow.
The train will depart at 6 p.m., and seating is limited to 300 people. Once the train gets here in Torrington, customers will take a stroll to Salt 2.0 where they will be treated to dinner. The movie will start at 8 p.m, and the train will head back to Thomaston later on, with a 10:30 p.m. departure. Participants are motivated to dress up in 1950s themed clothes.

Warner Phase season announced: The 2023 Stage @ the Warner Season opens in February with Misery by William Goldman, based upon the unique by Stephen King, in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre; followed by The Curious Occurrence of the Pet in the Night-Time, adapted by Simon Stevens and based on the unique by Mark Haddon, in April-May, The SpongeBob Musical, based upon the series by Stephen Hillenburg, in the Oneglia Auditorium in July-Aug.; the 12th annual International Playwrights Festival in October; and Murder on the Orient Express, adjusted by Ken Ludwig and based on the novel by Agatha Christie, in November.
